2022 Gamay Blanc de Noir

An exciting take on Blanc de Noir made from Gamay Noir fruit.

Description

The idea? A unique white, made from red grapes.

The ‘aha moment’? Pinot Noir grapes can make white wine… so what if we experimented with Gamay Noir grapes?

The result? The 2022 Gamay Blanc de Noir.

This innovative take on Blanc de Noir is as pretty as it is punchy. We pressed the berries lightly to extract minimal colour — leaving a dusting of pale pink in the glass.  The palate is medium bodied, dry, slightly creamy with vibrant acidity and a looooong finish, while the nose is full of perfumes, sweet florals, fresh raspberries and strawberries. 

We’re obsessed with our Gamay Blanc de Noir, and we know you will be too. There’s truly nothing else like it.

Grapes hailing from: Maraekakaho, Hawke’s Bay.

Best served: Chilled, straight from the fridge. It’s a fun one for blind tastings! 

Pairs beautifully with: Soft goats cheese on fresh sourdough, or a cheesy croque monsieur.
